Men and Women Who Care

“We measure success by giving back to people just trying to go thru life.”

The groups next meeting will in January, at 5:30pm, at the Sea Pines Country Club in Hilton Head. Visitors are welcome if they are interested in making a $100 donation directly to one of the local charities we discuss.

We will open the doors at 5pm and start the meeting at 5:30pm and complete with a vote by 6:30pm. If you cannot make the meeting, you can send your vote in via email.

With each meeting, we are surprised at what we learn and how we vote.

We have understand that there are over 1,000 nonprofits in our community. We are seeing the work by these organizations to keep the lights on for this beautiful island where we live. The services range from feeding hungry children, day care for workers, providing a sense of purpose for adults to providing a method for the elderly to simply stay in the place that has been home for many years.

Three members will each present a local nonprofit which we should consider for pooling the entire group’s donation. We will discuss how the funds could benefit the charity on the island and try to decide where we can be the biggest help.

Participating members will share how a local group has had an impact related to their quality of life on the island either directly or indirectly. They may be personally involved with or aware of the groups which are doing the work that we do not find time to do.

The founding principles

The Men & Women Who Care of Hilton Head Island was encouraged by our partner organization, 100 Who Care Alliance, with similar chapters around the country.

We are a local group from different backgrounds who are committed to making a positive impact in the Hilton Head Island area. We each pledge individually $100 per quarter.
