100MWC Hilton Head presents first award. The group voted to make a one time donation of $8,300 to Volunteers in Medicine. VIM agreed to meet a few members where the concept started – around the fire pit at the Spanish Wells Club.
We conducted our first meeting April 8th at the Spanish Wells Club. We had about 35 members attending outside overlooking the inter-coastal and 9 participating on video conference. Grapevine shared how they support the group as well as had three presentations; Volunteers in medicine, Hilton Head Island High School Booster Club and the Boys and Girls Club of HHI.
Yes, keep in mind, unless they join they will not be able to participate in the discussion or vote. Certainly OK.
They can send in a proxy ballot if you want a fellow member to vote for you or submit their vote ahead of the meeting.

Events will take approximately an hour. There will be time for socializing and networking before or after the formal part of each meeting.
In April, we had 70 men committed to make a difference. Thirty decided to sit outside, a dozen connected via video conference and the balance with voted remotely for three local needs. Three groups of men made short presentations all in 45 minutes. The votes were tabulated and we notified Volunteers in Medicine that we were able to make a $7000 donation toward their local need.
